The key to a flawless mobile ceramic coating is controlling panel temperature, shade and dust during the 60-to-90-minute application window. We work inside your home garage or carport, or deploy our commercial pop-up shade canopy in your driveway, and use a final IPA panel wipe immediately before coating each panel.
The coating flashes in 1 to 3 minutes per panel and cures tack-free within 2 to 4 hours of completion, meaning you can drive the vehicle in dry conditions the same evening or next morning. Keep the vehicle out of rain, heavy dew or lawn sprinklers for the first 12 to 24 hours, and avoid washing the car with soap for 7 days while the SiO2 layer reaches full hardness.
If you have an enclosed garage where the car can stay dry during application and for 12 to 24 hours afterward, we can complete your ceramic coating rain or shine. For open-driveway appointments, we monitor local weather, apply a hydrophobic curing aid topper where conditions allow, or reschedule to the next clear dry day.
A ceramic coating adds deep gloss and durable protection, but it does not fill or hide existing swirl marks or oxidation haze. Even brand-new dealership cars often have light wash marring, so we strongly recommend pairing your coating with our Mobile Paint Correction service so we lock in a swirl-free finish.
Wash your vehicle with a pH-neutral car shampoo using the two-bucket hand-wash method (or book our Mobile Exterior Car Detailing service) and avoid automatic brush car washes, which can abrade the coating.
